About this game

Voice of Cards, a series inspired by tabletop RPGs and gamebooks told entirely through a medium of cards, is now available for smartphones! Enjoy an all-new yet appealing nostalgic gaming experience from YOKO TARO, Keiichi Okabe, and Kimihiko Fujisaka, developers of the NieR and Drakengard series.

■Gameplay
Just like during a tabletop RPG, you're guided through the story by the game master as you journey through a world where all the field, town, and dungeon maps are depicted as cards.

The battles are turn-based, and gems—an item needed to unleash skills and granted each turn—are key to victory. You can also deal extra damage or inflict status ailments with a roll of the dice—an action that may determine your fate...

■Story
This prologue episode reveals what happened on the day before the events of Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, following the Ivory Order as they search for a stolen royal treasure.

*This has the same content as Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars Demo currently available for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, and Steam®.
*Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars Chapter 0, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden, and Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden can be enjoyed as standalone adventures.
*This app is a one-time purchase. Once downloaded, the entirety of the game can be enjoyed without purchasing additional content.
*You may find that the gamemaster occasionally stumbles, corrects themselves or needs to clear their throat, in order to give you the most immersive and true to life Tabletop RPG experience.

Makes sense to have it on mobile. Not as good looking as having it on consol, but it plays well from what I've played. The story is great. The music is great, the gameplay is cool. Not bad priced either compared to consol.

Very overrated. People are giving this 5 Stars because they think using cards is to tell a story is cool or something. But when you look past the shiny exterior, it is a poorly designed game. Walk up to a city and have to tap it to enter, then you get a pop-up, yes or no, then you have to confirm. 3 button presses to enter a city. The next issue is the abysmally lame fights, no strategy just a lot of confirming actions. The third is RNG designed to make you believe you made a choice, like slots.

A neat demo for the full game. Can confirm that it runs the same as the full game, which is pretty great (at least from my experience). This is also a prequel to the full game too, which adds a little bit of flavour to a full playthrough. Would heartily recommend trying this out if you're interested.
