Streets of Rage 4 takes forward the Streets of Rage legacy in this retro beat'em up with hand-drawn comic inspired graphics and updated mechanics.
Streets of Rage comes back for a sequel 25 years after the last episode : a new crime syndicate seems to have taken control of the streets and corrupted the police. A pretty solid mobile port of a console beat em' up. My only gripes are the tremendous frame dip on the Gladiator Arena and the Blitz attack not functioning properly with the mobile controls. When my character is facing left I can only pull off the attack when I tap on the left arrow ("D-pad"), whereas the right directional input on the Blitz attack requires that I move the joystick icon to the right. This hinders me severely when I am mobbed by a wave of enemies.

Great game except for the fact that the survival mode is way too hard. Every 4 levels the difficulty significantly increasew so that by the time you reach level 16 it is ridiculously hard. I would really enjoy a difficulty setting for survival mode or even better, longer stretches between difficulty increase. Like 10 levels instead of 4. At this point I've finished the story mode 20+ times so survival is all I play.

Crashes on startup a lot, but otherwise this is a flawless one to one port of the console version. All the features and fidelity of the original, but now on mobile. And even though it does crash when trying to start the game for me, once I get into the game there's no issues. Even detects my 8bitdo Zero 2 no problem, controller support seems great. With a controller there's no differences between this and the console version.
